When it comes to content marketing, there is one important thing to remember, and that is: ‘If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail’. And that, my friends, is why a content marketing strategy is so crucial. 

But, what exactly is a content marketing strategy? 

A content marketing strategy is, in essence, a plan. I call it this because you will essentially be creating a plan of action as to how you are going to create content, the kind of content you are going to create, how often you will release your content, and so on. This plan is important because it helps you to build your audience so your business can grow. 

So, how do I create a content marketing strategy? 

Every content marketing strategy is going to be unique. It has to be subjective to your business for it to be most effective, so there is no one size fits all. However, we have a few questions for you to answer which is Step 1 in developing the perfect strategy for you. 

  • Who is your audience? 
  • Who is your competition? 
  • What platform are you using to distribute your content? 
  • Who will create and release your content?
  • How often will you release content? 
  • What is your end goal?
